Complete Framing Checklist
- Finish all framing on plan
- Install window bucks, jack studs, stringer stiffeners
- Joist blocking
- Drywall backing
- Fur out walls and ceilings as needed
- Blocking at cabinet runs (along uppers, and at 34")
- Checking openings are within 1/8" of plumb
- Check door openings are 83" clear height (or consult door sheet)
- Layout electrical locations and add blockers for switches
- Lay out plumbing locations
- Tub or shower surrounds fit
- Add blockers for shower glass
- Add blockers for grab bars
- Blockers for mirrors
- Blocks for wall hung sinks and toilets
- Blocking for floating vanities
- Sheeting on pocket doors
- Blocks for toilet rolls (18" AFF), towel bars, robe hooks (48" and 72" AFF)
- Blocks for TVs
- Blocking for wood ceilings and beams
- Closet blocks
- Blocking for wainscoting
- Confirm hangers, hardware, and structural screws are in place
- Banks of windows are aligned
- Drywall wrapped windows are shimmed
- Tiled areas are plumb and square
- Fire block dropped ceilings
- Organize lumber
- Frame attic access
- Handrail blocking
- Take out trash
- Sweep

- Lay out baseboard height (especially by toilets)
- Lay out cabinets
- Lay out hvac supplies (in walls)
